Caring for Your Flowers

FOR FRESH FLOWERS:

1. No Flower Food Packets:

  • We skip those tiny packets and focus on cleanliness. Dirty water is the real threat to your flowers, so we encourage changing it every 1-3 days.

2. Changing Water Carefully:

  • Lift the flowers from below the paper gently.

  • Reach into the box to pull out the internal vase.

  • Avoid spills and drips during this process.

3. Quick Internal Vase Clean:

  • While changing water, take a moment to give the internal vase a swift clean.

  • No harsh detergents, please!

4. No Pouring Over Flowers:

  • Don't pour water over the flowers or into the box.

  • Keep the water clean; if any foliage or petals fall in, remove them.

5. Avoid Direct Sunlight and Breezes:

  • Display your blooms proudly but keep them away from direct sunlight and strong breezes.

6. Beware of Ethylene:

  • Fruits release ethylene, a gas that your blooms dislike. Keep them apart.

7. Individual Care:

  • Some roses bloom quicker than others; they're unique, just like us.

  • Remove any deteriorating blooms or bruised petals by cutting the stem or gently plucking.

 

FOR PRESERVED FLOWERS:

No Water Needed:

Forget watering! These roses thrive without it.

Avoid Direct Sunlight and Heat:

  • Keep them away from direct sunlight and heat to maintain their vibrant colors.

Stay in the Box:

  • Keep the roses in their stylish box; they love their cozy home.

Natural Changes:

  • Over time, colors may gently fade – it's part of their natural charm.

  • Small cracks or breakage in outer petals can occur and are perfectly normal.

Light Dusting:

  • A light dusting now and then is all the maintenance they need.

How about Delivery Times?

Local VIC, Australia Deliveries

  • Orders for fresh or preserved flowers within VIC, Australia, will be delivered on the selected date at checkout.

  • Please note a 2 business day lead time.

  • On the delivery day, you'll receive a confirmation email (and text message if subscribed) upon successful delivery.

 

Interstate Orders within Australia (only apply for preserved flowers)

  • Similar to international orders, we have a 1 to 3 business day handling time.

  • Once dispatched, anticipate delivery between 1-5 business days.

  • Rest assured, a tracking link will be provided for your peace of mind.

What Happens If No One Is Home at the Time of Delivery?

Local Hand Deliveries within VIC, Australia:

 
  • Our couriers will attempt to make contact with you or the recipient on arrival using the provided contact number if no one answers the door.

  • If unsuccessful, blooms will be left in the safest, undercover area.

  • Please note that delivery address redirection is generally not possible, so ensure the provided address is accessible all day or allows for safe delivery if no one is home.

  • Once delivered, no responsibility is taken for the blooms. You will receive a delivery confirmation email.

What's the Recommended Lead Time for Ordering?

Local VIC, Australia deliveries:

 
  • Our website incorporates a built-in 2-day lead time for all orders. Please leave a note specifying your preferred delivery date during checkout.

  • In case you require delivery within this lead time, kindly contact us promptly at flowerandeventswithlove@gmail.com or through the 'Contact Us' tab to arrange expedited delivery. We'll make every effort to accommodate your request, and rush fees may apply.

What is the Delivery Range Beyond Melbourne CBD, and Do You Deliver to Regional Victoria?

  • If you're outside our standard delivery zone but still wish to place an order, we can arrange delivery with one of our external couriers on Monday-Friday (additional charges apply).

  • Alternatively, consider having your order delivered to a Melbourne-based friend or family member, with whom you can personally arrange pick-up or a convenient meeting point.

  • Our Worldwide Range can be mailed anywhere in Australia and worldwide with no additional charges.

  • Specific delivery suburbs and postcodes, included/excluded, are at the discretion of us & our couriers.

  • The delivery radius in kilometers is calculated as the fastest route from the CBD using our courier's route planning software. You can use "Where Is" to check your distance, ensuring to select "Fastest Route."

  • Additional charges may apply for delivery to some suburbs close to or on the border of our delivery zone.
